A Unique Radiology Practice in Pooler, GA
Imaging technology has come far in recent decades, but it still takes an experienced specialist to spot the earliest signs of breast cancer. Our radiologist, Dr. Jessica Wilder, has that experience and training. She is fellowship-trained in breast imaging and interventional breast procedures and is also extremely familiar with the latest technology and standards of care. This technology includes our Hologic Selenia Dimensions 3D Performance System. This system is the top of the line mammography machine that provides optimal clarity and precision, making mammograms more efficient and comfortable for our patients.
Just as importantly, Dr. Wilder is always responsive to her patients’ needs and concerns. Unlike many breast imaging facilities, Dr. Wilder personally scans every diagnostic patient and delivers the results on the same day. This attitude reflects the position of our entire staff, and you’ll always find caring and patient faces at The Center for Women’s Health.
You will also notice that our center hardly resembles a medical clinic. Instead, we offer a spa-like atmosphere complete with luxurious robes for your comfort. From scheduling your appointment to reporting your results, our staff is passionate about caring for our patients. So whether you’re coming to us for the first time or one of our many long-time patients, we guarantee to exceed your expectations and ensure you never get lost in the shuffle.
TC Scores
The Center for Women’s Health is the first in the area to offer the Tyrer-Cuzick (TC) score. A TC Score is a calculation to estimate the likelihood that a person will develop breast cancer within the next 10 years and throughout their lifetime. The test and score can help identify people at higher-than-average risk of breast cancer. While not definitive, these scores provide guidelines for doctors to help make decisions about screening and additional testing. For example, doctors may recommend that a person with a high TC score undergo additional annual screening, including MRI and ultrasound tests. Your referring physician will discuss your TC score and its implications with you.
We look forward to compassionately serving your mammography needs. You can schedule your appointment today by calling us at (912) 303-5470.
